We Don't Need Faster Horses

Henry Ford's words “if I had asked my customers what they wanted they would have said a faster horse” don't seem to hit home with many companies these days, because they keep doing the same old thing.
It is the rare breed who have the courage and vision to become truly transformational in the way Ford did. With Digital providing so many new opportunities, CIOs need to get out into the business more, to understand how they can add new value and even disrupt like Ford once did.
They need to focus on breeding butterflies (Transformation) instead of creating faster caterpillars (Change).
