The Why of Transformation
While the “why” of transformation is said to be clear to the majority of chief executives, the response to the “why” often results in initiatives that are by no means transformational. A good probing question to ask your organisation is;
“how will our (so-called) transformation initiatives protect against the threat of digital disruption?“
The reason I wrote ‘so-called' in brackets is because many organisations are being lulled into a false sense of transformation security through ‘digital initiatives', which digitise old ways of working, but do nothing to genuinely transform the business.
